"Speak" harnesses existing NFC (Near Frequency Communications) technology, matched with your "Speak" digital profile, to make sharing your social media handles and contact information, easier.
Why We Exist
We want to bridge people's connections, seamlessly. With a nod to fast-paced, often loud environments (i.e. conventions), we make sharing social media handles and contact information, seamless, and more accurate.
How it Works
With security and privacy in mind, only share what you want on your "Speak" profile. This profile is able to be updated if your social media or contact information changes, without having to replace the matched NFC chip. Take the NFC chip, attach it to your con badge, or other wearables, and encourage people to tap their phones (or store it away for privacy) on the NFC tag to seamlessly get your social accounts.
Safety and Privacy
"Speak" is a -tool- for those who want to easily share their (already public) social media profiles with people they've just met (within an often loud/fast paced environment where detailed contact information can be misheard). Please do not put any social media handles on your profile that you wouldn't be comfortable sharing. If your NFC Tag gets "tapped" without your consent, we advise using the "block" feature on your applicable social account if needed. We advise exercising common internet safety when engaging online.
